Rock 'N Learn Alphabet

As most of you guys already know, I am a big advocate of making learning fun! The Rock  ‘N Learn Alphabet DVD definitely fits into this category!

This DVD series is pretty awesome! It is one of those things that honestly kids are never to young or too old for! Both Emalee (4) and Annaliese (6 months) were enamored by it!

They both sat watching it over and over and over!

Emalee even took out a notebook and started writing down her letters as they were discussed. I wasn’t sure if she would enjoy this educational DVD simply because she already knows her letters, the sounds they make, and can write them. However, my fears were totally unnecessary! Emalee adores this DVD and has a blast with the music.

Curious how it looks? Check out this sample below:

My one complaint about this DVD is that during the writing portion at the end it seems to go through them quite quickly. If a child is trying to write each set of letters as they say them, as Emalee was, it can become a tad bit frustrating. However, this wasn’t enough to make Emalee or myself not want to watch it again.

I wish that I had been able to get a video of Emalee and Annaliese watching this DVD together. It was simply precious! Emalee was singing along and pointing to things to make sure that Annaliese noticed them. Gosh it was cute! I am going to try to get a video tomorrow and add it to this post!

I think my absolute favorite aspect of this DVD is that, unlike most kids DVDs Barbie movies seem to be the worst offenders which take forever to get to the menu which then talks to you for a few minutes before you can click play, it goes straight into the show! You don’t even have to press play!

It even comes with a book if you pay just a little more.

I didn’t receive the book so I can only show you some of their sample pages from the website. However, it looks awesome!

It follows along with the DVD and provides you with the upper case and lower case letters as well as 6 vocabulary building words and images! How amazing is that?!?
